Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Transport, Information Technology and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.17% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kerevitas Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KERVT), which rose 6.71% or 0.10 points to trade at 1.59 at the close. Meanwhile, Besiktas Futbol Yatirimlari Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:BJKAS) added 6.06% or 0.100 points to end at 1.750 and Ege Endustri ve Ticaret AS (IS:EGEEN) was up 5.98% or 24.50 points to 434.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL), which fell 3.93% or 0.96 points to trade at 23.48 at the close. Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN) declined 3.85% or 0.050 points to end at 1.250 and Sok Marketler (IS:SOKM) was down 3.40% or 0.29 points to 8.25.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 183 to 166 and 57 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.28% or 3.60 to $1288.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.41% or 0.25 to hit $61.95 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.68% or 0.48 to trade at $70.87 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.94% to 6.0708, while EUR/TRY fell 1.72% to 6.8226.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 97.028.
