Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Basic Metals and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Turkiye Sise ve Cam Fabrikalari AS (IS:SISE), which rose 4.09% or 0.200 points to trade at 5.090 at the close. Meanwhile, Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:AKENR) added 3.51% or 0.020 points to end at 0.590 and Turk Traktor ve Ziraat Makineleri AS (IS:TTRAK) was up 3.48% or 1.18 points to 35.06 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which fell 7.96% or 0.600 points to trade at 6.940 at the close. Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) declined 6.34% or 0.390 points to end at 5.760 and Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) was down 4.85% or 2.60 points to 51.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 190 to 165 and 52 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.02% or 0.30 to $1228.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.75% or 0.41 to hit $54.22 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.36% or 0.23 to trade at $63.25 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.41% to 5.2873, while EUR/TRY fell 0.03% to 6.0408.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 96.412.
