Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Transport, Technology and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 2.54%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA), which rose 11.00% or 0.460 points to trade at 4.640 at the close. Meanwhile, Alcatel Lucent Teletas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:ALCTL) added 7.81% or 0.570 points to end at 7.870 and Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO) was up 6.09% or 0.240 points to 4.180 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL), which fell 1.24% or 0.28 points to trade at 22.34 at the close. Kordsa Global Endustriyel Iplik ve Kord Bezi Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KORDS) declined 0.79% or 0.06 points to end at 7.54 and Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) was down 0.08% or 0.02 points to 26.34.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 345 to 41 and 21 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.13% or 1.70 to $1332.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.15% or 0.09 to hit $61.70 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.05% or 0.03 to trade at $65.28 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.31% to 3.7870, while EUR/TRY fell 0.45% to 4.6669.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 89.75.
