Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Wood, Paper & Printing, Transport and Non-Metal Mineral Products sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 2.07%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Afyon Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS:AFYON), which rose 19.89% or 1.49 points to trade at 8.98 at the close. Meanwhile, Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) added 6.81% or 1.160 points to end at 18.200 and Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) was up 4.82% or 0.170 points to 3.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER), which fell 0.95% or 0.19 points to trade at 19.71 at the close. DO & Co AG (IS:DOCO) declined 0.57% or 1.00 points to end at 174.30 and Turkiye Sinai Kalkinma Bankasi AS (IS:TSKB) was 0.00% or 0.000 points to 1.380.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 350 to 36 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.66% or 8.47 to $1293.47 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.72% or 1.35 to hit $50.93 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.83% or 1.02 to trade at $56.81 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.55% to 3.6815, while EUR/TRY fell 0.07% to 4.3454.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 93.07.
