Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Metals, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 2.04%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which rose 19.98% or 3.770 points to trade at 22.640 at the close. Meanwhile, Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari TAS (IS:EREGL) added 4.70% or 0.380 points to end at 8.460 and DO & Co AG (IS:DOCO) was up 4.39% or 7.90 points to 187.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which fell 3.03% or 0.210 points to trade at 6.710 at the close. GSD Holding AS (IS:GSDHO) declined 1.27% or 0.010 points to end at 0.780 and Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) was down 1.05% or 0.040 points to 3.780.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 301 to 49 and 54 ended unchanged.
Shares in Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari TAS (IS:EREGL) rose to all time highs; rising 4.70% or 0.380 to 8.460.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.47% or 6.11 to $1295.01 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.90% or 0.46 to hit $50.84 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.79% or 0.45 to trade at $56.49 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.07% to 3.6507, while EUR/TRY fell 0.04% to 4.3265.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 92.96.
