Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Basic Metals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 2.02%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Sok Marketler (IS:SOKM), which rose 6.80% or 0.52 points to trade at 8.17 at the close. Meanwhile, Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:TTKOM) added 6.75% or 0.28 points to end at 4.43 and Anadolu Cam Sanayi AS (IS:ANACM) was up 6.43% or 0.180 points to 2.980 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Polisan Holding AS (IS:POLHO), which fell 8.80% or 0.250 points to trade at 2.590 at the close. Ittifak Holding AS (IS:ITTFH) declined 6.77% or 0.450 points to end at 6.200 and Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) was down 4.07% or 0.31 points to 7.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 272 to 91 and 41 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.53% or 6.85 to $1294.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.65% or 1.01 to hit $62.05 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.77% or 1.24 to trade at $71.47 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.62% to 6.0179, while EUR/TRY fell 0.75% to 6.7451.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 97.317.
