Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Metal Products & Machinery, Transport and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.90% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL), which rose 16.38% or 1.240 points to trade at 8.810 at the close. Meanwhile, Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN) added 15.38% or 0.240 points to end at 1.800 and Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) was up 8.78% or 1.880 points to 23.300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alarko Holding AS (IS:ALARK), which fell 2.34% or 0.170 points to trade at 7.090 at the close. Mavi Giyim Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAVI) declined 2.16% or 1.25 points to end at 56.75 and Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO) was down 2.02% or 0.020 points to 0.970.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 245 to 103 and 54 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.39% or 5.10 to $1314.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.30% or 0.18 to hit $60.24 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.55% or 0.37 to trade at $66.50 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.70% to 3.7650, while EUR/TRY fell 0.36% to 4.5373.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 91.61.
