Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Transport and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.61%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL), which rose 9.06% or 0.920 points to trade at 11.080 at the close. Meanwhile, Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME) added 6.42% or 0.140 points to end at 2.320 and Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO) was up 5.15% or 0.050 points to 1.020 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS), which fell 2.33% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.420 at the close. SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) declined 0.93% or 0.060 points to end at 6.410 and Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER) was down 0.92% or 0.18 points to 19.42.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 299 to 70 and 39 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.00% or 0.05 to $1344.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.44% or 0.23 to hit $52.28 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.56% or 0.35 to trade at $61.66 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.52% to 5.8701, while EUR/TRY fell 0.32% to 6.5945.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 96.928.
