Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.60%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS), which rose 11.00% or 3.30 points to trade at 33.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:TTKOM) added 7.36% or 0.39 points to end at 5.69 and Sekerbank TAS (IS:SKBNK) was up 5.51% or 0.070 points to 1.340 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO), which fell 7.55% or 0.080 points to trade at 0.980 at the close. Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) declined 3.08% or 0.45 points to end at 14.16 and Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) was down 1.94% or 0.090 points to 4.550.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 281 to 76 and 44 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.29% or 3.66 to $1278.44 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.14% or 0.08 to hit $57.38 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.32% or 0.20 to trade at $62.73 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.29% to 3.9087, while EUR/TRY fell 0.69% to 4.6628.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.44% at 92.81.
