Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Wood, Paper & Printing, Technology and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.42%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kartonsan Karton Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARTN), which rose 9.66% or 25.70 points to trade at 291.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Ege Endustri ve Ticaret AS (IS:EGEEN) added 7.68% or 18.90 points to end at 264.90 and Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) was up 6.85% or 1.98 points to 30.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL), which fell 2.20% or 0.40 points to trade at 17.76 at the close. Dogus Otomotiv Servis ve Ticaret AS (IS:DOAS) declined 1.64% or 0.14 points to end at 8.41 and Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari TAS (IS:EREGL) was down 1.54% or 0.120 points to 7.680.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 315 to 54 and 36 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.01% or 0.12 to $1287.68 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.17% or 0.61 to hit $51.53 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.01% or 0.58 to trade at $56.99 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.44% to 3.5621, while EUR/TRY fell 0.16% to 4.1988.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 93.08.
