Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Transport, Banking and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.25%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which rose 9.03% or 0.510 points to trade at 6.160 at the close. Meanwhile, Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) added 7.96% or 0.270 points to end at 3.660 and Turkish Airlines (IS:THYAO) was up 7.63% or 0.990 points to 13.970 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO), which fell 18.37% or 0.180 points to trade at 0.800 at the close. MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK) declined 4.06% or 0.55 points to end at 13.01 and Ihlas Gayrimenkul Proje Gelistirme ve Ticaret AS (IS:IHLGM) was down 3.33% or 0.030 points to 0.870.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 229 to 121 and 54 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.11% or 1.45 to $1304.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.78% or 0.46 to hit $59.28 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.42% or 0.28 to trade at $67.44 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.34% to 5.4641, while EUR/TRY rose 0.49% to 6.1957.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 95.985.
