Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Transport, Holdings & Investments and Basic Metals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.96%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT), which rose 7.90% or 0.260 points to trade at 3.550 at the close. Meanwhile, Ittifak Holding AS (IS:ITTFH) added 5.43% or 0.350 points to end at 6.800 and Gersan Elektrik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:GEREL) was up 4.81% or 0.100 points to 2.180 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES), which fell 2.62% or 0.52 points to trade at 19.31 at the close. Kerevitas Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KERVT) declined 2.51% or 0.05 points to end at 1.94 and Akbank TAS (IS:AKBNK) was down 1.92% or 0.14 points to 7.15.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 270 to 81 and 58 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.54% or 7.65 to $1405.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.17% or 0.10 to hit $59.48 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.15% or 0.10 to trade at $66.58 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.03% to 5.7100, while EUR/TRY fell 0.41% to 6.4030.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 96.968.
