Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Transport and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.84%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Borusan Mannesmann (IS:BRSAN), which rose 7.04% or 0.63 points to trade at 9.58 at the close. Meanwhile, Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON) added 3.51% or 0.31 points to end at 9.15 and Logo Yazilim (IS:LOGO) was up 3.23% or 1.580 points to 50.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metro Holding (IS:METRO), which fell 3.03% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.960 at the close. Nurol Gmyo (IS:NUGYO) declined 3.01% or 0.130 points to end at 4.190 and Karsan Otomotiv (IS:KARSN) was down 2.50% or 0.030 points to 1.170.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 196 to 137 and 74 ended unchanged.

Gold for February delivery was down 0.94% or 11.25 to $1186.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 2.12% or 1.12 to hit $53.87 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 2.41% or 1.33 to trade at $56.41 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.80% to 3.8599, while EUR/TRY rose 0.09% to 4.1200.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.75% at 100.66.
