Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Transport, Leasing & Factoring and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.81%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN), which rose 7.50% or 0.090 points to trade at 1.290 at the close. Meanwhile, Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:TTKOM) added 7.28% or 0.26 points to end at 3.83 and Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS:OTKAR) was up 6.51% or 4.95 points to 80.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA), which fell 3.68% or 1.12 points to trade at 29.32 at the close. Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) declined 3.25% or 0.76 points to end at 22.62 and Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) was down 2.77% or 0.380 points to 13.320.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 234 to 121 and 53 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.38% or 4.70 to $1228.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.11% or 0.69 to hit $61.52 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.57% or 0.41 to trade at $71.72 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.01% to 5.4109, while EUR/TRY rose 1.35% to 6.2092.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 95.75.
