Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Textile & Leather, Transport and Basic Metals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.76% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which rose 10.75% or 0.600 points to trade at 6.180 at the close. Meanwhile, Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) added 6.82% or 1.660 points to end at 26.000 and Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER) was up 6.51% or 1.21 points to 19.79 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN), which fell 2.46% or 0.200 points to trade at 7.920 at the close. Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) declined 2.09% or 0.34 points to end at 15.90 and Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS (IS:TUPRS) was down 2.09% or 2.40 points to 112.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 234 to 113 and 58 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.72% or 9.00 to $1266.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.38% or 0.22 to hit $57.55 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.63% or 0.40 to trade at $63.63 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.88% to 3.8276, while EUR/TRY fell 0.34% to 4.5235.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 93.03.
