Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Metals, Transport and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.67%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL), which rose 12.13% or 0.820 points to trade at 7.580 at the close. Meanwhile, Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) added 5.79% or 0.140 points to end at 2.560 and Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari TAS (IS:EREGL) was up 4.64% or 0.410 points to 9.250 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS), which fell 5.09% or 4.70 points to trade at 87.70 at the close. Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) declined 2.86% or 0.010 points to end at 0.340 and Kordsa Global Endustriyel Iplik ve Kord Bezi Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KORDS) was down 1.33% or 0.14 points to 10.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 246 to 115 and 45 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.34% or 4.45 to $1332.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.98% or 0.56 to hit $57.52 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.27% or 0.18 to trade at $67.25 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.15% to 5.3256, while EUR/TRY rose 0.22% to 6.0404.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 96.387.
