Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Real Estate Investments, Basic Metals and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Albaraka Turk Katilim Bankasi AS (IS:ALBRK), which rose 6.25% or 0.090 points to trade at 1.530 at the close. Meanwhile, Emlak Konut Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:EKGYO) added 5.10% or 0.080 points to end at 1.650 and Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) was up 5.00% or 0.020 points to 0.420 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA), which fell 2.62% or 0.92 points to trade at 34.16 at the close. Deva Holding AS (IS:DEVA) declined 2.52% or 0.110 points to end at 4.250 and Kerevitas Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KERVT) was down 2.31% or 0.04 points to 1.69.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 232 to 126 and 48 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 1.17% or 15.35 to $1293.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.60% or 0.35 to hit $58.61 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.28% or 0.19 to trade at $67.36 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.29% to 5.4699, while EUR/TRY rose 0.06% to 6.1803.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 96.745.
