Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Mining, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia fell 1.65% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia were MVideo (MCX:MVID), which rose 4.53% or 17.70 points to trade at 408.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Detskiy Mir PAO (MCX:DSKY) added 1.74% or 1.50 points to end at 87.85 and Inter rao ees (MCX:IRAO) was up 0.95% or 0.0350 points to 3.7200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Moskovskaya Birzha OAO (MCX:MOEX), which fell 4.32% or 3.77 points to trade at 83.50 at the close. ALROSA ao (MCX:ALRS) declined 3.58% or 3.510 points to end at 94.600 and Rosseti ao (MCX:RSTI) was down 3.57% or 0.0250 points to 0.6750.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 149 to 58 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Moskovskaya Birzha OAO (MCX:MOEX) fell to 3-years lows; falling 4.32% or 3.77 to 83.50.
The Russian VIX, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia options, was down 2.13% to 30.740.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.90% or 11.10 to $1240.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.30% or 0.20 to hit $67.53 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.57% or 0.44 to trade at $77.33 a barrel.
USD/RUB was up 0.30% to 65.7925, while EUR/RUB rose 0.70% to 75.0659.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 96.12.
