Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Power, Oil & Gas and Manufacturing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia declined 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia were NK RussNeft PAO (MCX:RNFT), which rose 2.95% or 17.2 points to trade at 600.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Inter rao ees (MCX:IRAO) added 2.01% or 0.0915 points to end at 4.6410 and AK Transneft OAO Pref (MCX:TRNF_p) was up 1.65% or 2750 points to 168950 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were FSK EES (MCX:FEES), which fell 10.75% or 0.0217 points to trade at 0.1805 at the close. Gazprom PAO (MCX:GAZP) declined 2.12% or 5.20 points to end at 240.30 and Lukoil (MCX:LKOH) was down 1.61% or 84.5 points to 5178.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 117 to 115 and 17 ended unchanged.
The Russian VIX, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia options, was down 0.16% to 18.570.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.17% or 2.35 to $1414.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 1.13% or 0.68 to hit $59.53 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.54% or 0.36 to trade at $66.36 a barrel.
USD/RUB was down 0.41% to 62.6955, while EUR/RUB fell 0.48% to 70.5900.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 96.553.
