Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Power, Manufacturing and Mining sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia declined 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia were Safmar Finansovye Investitsii PAO (MCX:SFIN), which rose 3.03% or 21.0 points to trade at 714.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Severstal - ao (MCX:CHMF) added 1.72% or 17.20 points to end at 1014.70 and MMK (MCX:MAGN) was up 1.69% or 0.770 points to 46.300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were NK RussNeft PAO (MCX:RNFT), which fell 5.39% or 33.0 points to trade at 579.5 at the close. Polymetal International PLC (MCX:POLY) declined 3.17% or 18.10 points to end at 552.00 and X5 Retail Group NV (MCX:FIVEDR) was down 1.76% or 31.0 points to 1727.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 116 to 90 and 16 ended unchanged.
The Russian VIX, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia options, was up 0.80% to 24.070.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.02% or 0.30 to $1226.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.60% or 0.42 to hit $69.19 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.01% or 0.01 to trade at $74.53 a barrel.
USD/RUB was down 0.28% to 62.7768, while EUR/RUB fell 0.19% to 73.1500.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 94.47.
