Investing.com – Russia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia gained 0.75%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia were NK RussNeft PAO (MCX:RNFT), which rose 4.96% or 29.5 points to trade at 624.5 at the close. Meanwhile, MMC Norilsk Nickel (MCX:GMKN) added 4.32% or 446.0 points to end at 10760.0 and Polyus OAO (MCX:PLZL) was up 3.62% or 150.0 points to 4292.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were NMTP (MCX:NMTP), which fell 3.39% or 0.2250 points to trade at 6.4100 at the close. Magnit (MCX:MGNT) declined 2.45% or 105.0 points to end at 4180.0 and Aeroflot (MCX:AFLT) was down 1.33% or 1.65 points to 122.15.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 102 to 96 and 36 ended unchanged.

The Russian VIX, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia options, was down 3.52% to 23.280.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.02% or 0.20 to $1225.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.36% or 0.92 to hit $68.81 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.07% or 0.78 to trade at $73.84 a barrel.
USD/RUB was up 0.39% to 63.3155, while EUR/RUB rose 0.31% to 73.9459.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 94.42.
