Investing.com – Russia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Power, Manufacturing and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia added 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia were VK Company Ltd DRC (MCX:VKCO), which rose 4.02% or 17.60 points to trade at 455.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank OAO (MCX:CBOM) added 1.94% or 0.13 points to end at 6.83 and ALROSA ao (MCX:ALRS) was up 1.71% or 1.01 points to 60.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were HeadHunter Group PLC (MCX:HHRUDR), which fell 3.18% or 125.00 points to trade at 3,802.00 at the close. PhosAgro ao (MCX:PHOR) declined 1.14% or 63.00 points to end at 5,442.00 and Aeroflot (MCX:AFLT) was down 0.48% or 0.25 points to 52.13.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 171 to 69 and 14 ended unchanged.
The Russian VIX, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia options, was up 0.97% to 31.11.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.50% or 12.30 to $2,432.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $72.96 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.16% or 0.12 to trade at $76.22 a barrel.
USD/RUB was unchanged 0.01% to 85.67, while EUR/RUB unchanged 0.00% to 93.65.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 102.69.
