Investing.com – Russia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Power, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia gained 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia were Gazprom PAO (MCX:GAZP), which rose 1.87% or 2.46 points to trade at 134.07 at the close. Meanwhile, FSK EES (MCX:FEES) unchanged 1.35% or 0.00 points to end at 0.10 and Bank VTB PAO (MCX:VTBR) was up 1.00% or 1.00 points to 100.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were HeadHunter Group PLC (MCX:HHRUDR), which fell 2.22% or 109.00 points to trade at 4,798.00 at the close. Aeroflot (MCX:AFLT) declined 1.81% or 1.05 points to end at 57.12 and Moskovskaya Birzha OAO (MCX:MOEX) was down 1.66% or 3.92 points to 231.85.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 122 to 122 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bank VTB PAO (MCX:VTBR) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.00% or 1.00 to 100.75.
The Russian VIX, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia options, was down 2.44% to 25.63.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.67% or 16.00 to $2,410.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.19% or 0.93 to hit $77.47 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.01% or 0.01 to trade at $81.56 a barrel.
USD/RUB was unchanged 0.00% to 87.85, while EUR/RUB unchanged 0.00% to 95.35.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 104.17.
