Investing.com – Russia stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Power, Mining and Manufacturing sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia added 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia were AK Transneft OAO Pref (MCX:TRNF_p), which rose 5.32% or 8100 points to trade at 160400 at the close. Meanwhile, United Company Rusal Plc (MCX:RUAL) added 5.22% or 1.195 points to end at 24.100 and Safmar Finansovye Investitsii PAO (MCX:SFIN) was up 3.39% or 16.8 points to 513.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Detskiy Mir PAO (MCX:DSKY), which fell 4.70% or 4.22 points to trade at 85.58 at the close. VTB (MCX:VTBR) declined 4.00% or 0.0015 points to end at 0.0372 and Gazprom PAO (MCX:GAZP) was down 2.09% or 4.36 points to 204.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 132 to 99 and 16 ended unchanged.
The Russian VIX, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia options, was down 1.62% to 20.680.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.11% or 1.45 to $1283.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.62% or 0.36 to hit $58.27 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.72% or 0.49 to trade at $68.25 a barrel.
USD/RUB was down 0.51% to 64.5219, while EUR/RUB fell 0.26% to 72.2814.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 97.472.
