Investing.com – Russia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Power and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia rose 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia were Rosseti ao (MCX:RSTI), which rose 2.92% or 0.0198 points to trade at 0.6968 at the close. Meanwhile, NMTP (MCX:NMTP) added 2.17% or 0.1350 points to end at 6.3550 and AK Transneft OAO Pref (MCX:TRNF_p) was up 2.11% or 3000 points to 145500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PIK (MCX:PIKK), which fell 5.58% or 20.30 points to trade at 343.70 at the close. MVideo (MCX:MVID) declined 4.71% or 20.40 points to end at 412.60 and NK RussNeft PAO (MCX:RNFT) was down 3.37% or 20.8 points to 597.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 120 to 83 and 20 ended unchanged.
The Russian VIX, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia options, was up 0.72% to 25.240.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.22% or 2.60 to $1207.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.46% or 0.32 to hit $70.09 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.68% or 0.53 to trade at $78.17 a barrel.
USD/RUB was up 0.88% to 68.1370, while EUR/RUB rose 0.99% to 79.1673.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 95.06.
