Investing.com – Russia stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Mining, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Moscow, the MICEX added 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the MICEX were DIXY Group ao (MCX:DIXY), which rose 7.33% or 23.20 points to trade at 339.90 at the close. Meanwhile, MegaFon OAO (MCX:MFON) added 4.18% or 26.30 points to end at 656.00 and Yevroplan PAO (MCX:EPLN) was up 3.19% or 22.0 points to 712.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were MVideo (MCX:MVID), which fell 1.65% or 7.00 points to trade at 416.10 at the close. Inter rao ees (MCX:IRAO) declined 1.00% or 0.0375 points to end at 3.7120 and AFK Sistema (MCX:AFKS) was down 0.93% or 0.125 points to 13.360.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 134 to 93 and 22 ended unchanged.
The Russian VIX, which measures the implied volatility of MICEX options, was down 2.23% to 17.500.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.13% or 1.72 to $1286.98 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $51.52 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.75% or 0.43 to trade at $56.73 a barrel.
USD/RUB was down 0.63% to 57.5464, while EUR/RUB fell 0.39% to 67.9490.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 93.01.
