Investing.com – Russia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Manufacturing and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Moscow, the MICEX added 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the MICEX were Trubnaya Metallurgicheskaya Kompaniya OAO (MCX:TRMK), which rose 2.55% or 1.77 points to trade at 71.19 at the close. Meanwhile, Tatneft-3 (MCX:TATN) added 2.46% or 9.95 points to end at 414.80 and Moskovskaya Birzha OAO (MCX:MOEX) was up 1.52% or 1.78 points to 119.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were MVideo (MCX:MVID), which fell 2.08% or 8.90 points to trade at 419.40 at the close. Magnit (MCX:MGNT) declined 1.55% or 156.0 points to end at 9914.0 and Rostelecom (MCX:RTKM) was down 1.49% or 1.01 points to 66.89.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 116 to 107 and 19 ended unchanged.
The Russian VIX, which measures the implied volatility of MICEX options, was down 1.66% to 16.570.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.11% or 1.43 to $1276.47 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.89% or 0.45 to hit $49.97 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.45% or 0.25 to trade at $55.75 a barrel.
USD/RUB was down 0.46% to 57.6480, while EUR/RUB fell 0.36% to 67.8107.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 93.29.
