Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms Services, Consumer Goods & Services and Financial Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC lost 2.03% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES), which fell 0.02% or 0.040 points to trade at 243.220 at the close. Meanwhile, Alpek, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALPEKA) fell 0.24% or 0.050 points to end at 21.000 and Industrias CH, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICHB) was down 0.43% or 0.250 points to 58.440 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Empresas ICA , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICA), which fell 13.61% or 1.000 points to trade at 6.280 at the close. Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO) declined 5.16% or 0.650 points to end at 11.940 and Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico (MX:SANMEXB) was down 4.62% or 1.270 points to 26.080.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 126 to 35 and 3 ended unchanged.

Gold for December delivery was up 0.52% or 6.00 to $1159.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.54% or 1.05 to hit $40.27 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 2.82% or 1.31 to trade at $45.30 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 1.01% to 16.9865, while EUR/MXN rose 2.11% to 19.3046.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.90% at 94.92.
