Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Staples, Consumer Goods & Services and Financial Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which rose 26.70% or 5.580 points to trade at 26.480 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) added 3.45% or 1.470 points to end at 44.020 and Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:GFREGIOO) was up 2.41% or 2.570 points to 109.310 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Coca-Cola Femsa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:KOFL), which fell 3.45% or 5.280 points to trade at 147.590 at the close. Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) declined 3.38% or 1.480 points to end at 42.290 and Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) was down 2.60% or 1.190 points to 44.520.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 94 to 70 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:GFREGIOO) rose to all time highs; up 2.41% or 2.570 to 109.310.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.04% or 0.50 to $1327.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.02% or 0.44 to hit $42.69 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.02% or 0.01 to trade at $44.92 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.01% to 18.7793, while EUR/MXN rose 0.04% to 20.6286.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 97.17.
