Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Healthcare, Consumer Goods & Services and Financial Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES), which rose 1.89% or 8.81 points to trade at 475.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (MX:GAPB) added 1.31% or 2.57 points to end at 198.08 and Fomento Economico Mexicano UBD (MX:FMSAUBD) was up 1.22% or 2.16 points to 178.96 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1), which fell 2.97% or 4.92 points to trade at 160.71 at the close. Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) declined 2.73% or 0.990 points to end at 35.320 and Alpek, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALPEKA) was down 2.36% or 0.480 points to 19.880.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 131 to 90 and 10 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.38% or 17.87 to $1315.77 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.40% or 1.15 to hit $46.72 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.88% or 0.46 to trade at $51.52 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 1.37% to 17.8546, while EUR/MXN rose 1.78% to 21.3846.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 92.18.
