Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods & Services, Financial Services and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC gained 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which rose 2.74% or 0.720 points to trade at 26.970 at the close. Meanwhile, Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA) added 2.49% or 0.610 points to end at 25.080 and Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) was up 1.82% or 1.060 points to 59.190 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AC), which fell 1.31% or 1.78 points to trade at 133.96 at the close. Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) declined 1.20% or 0.530 points to end at 43.560 and Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) was down 0.99% or 4.53 points to 451.37.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 130 to 86 and 10 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.42% or 5.40 to $1291.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.19% or 0.09 to hit $47.62 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.06% or 0.03 to trade at $51.63 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.08% to 17.6685, while EUR/MXN fell 0.36% to 20.7844.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 93.42.
