Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Miscellaneous Industry, Manufacturing and Consumer Industry sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index declined 0.44%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Pelayaran Nasional Bina Buana Raya (JK:BBRM), which rose 16.19% or 17 points to trade at 122 at the close. Meanwhile, Inti Bangun Sejahtera Tbk (JK:IBST) added 14.67% or 440 points to end at 3440 and Eagle High Plantations Tbk (JK:BWPT) was up 10.85% or 41 points to 419 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bank Of India Indonesia Tbk (JK:BSWD), which fell 19.05% or 400 points to trade at 1700 at the close. Asuransi Jasa Tania Tbk (JK:ASJT) declined 9.68% or 30.00 points to end at 280.00 and Eka Sari Lorena Transport Tbk (JK:LRNA) was down 9.13% or 21.00 points to 209.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 164 to 145 and 44 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.32% or 0.20 to $60.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.09% or 0.06 to hit $63.40 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.06% or 0.70 to trade at $1183.40 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.32% to 13270.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.96% to 10383.00.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.75% at 95.22.
