Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Industry, Property and Manufacturing sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index rose 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Bumi Citra Permai Tbk (JK:BCIP), which rose 35.00% or 35 points to trade at 135 at the close. Meanwhile, Buana Listya Tama Tbk PT (JK:BULL) added 34.68% or 43 points to end at 167 and First Media Tbk (JK:KBLV) was up 22.08% or 265 points to 1465 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Arita Prima Indonesia Tbk (JK:APII), which fell 24.83% or 74 points to trade at 224 at the close. Semen Baturaja Persero Tbk (JK:SMBR) declined 24.81% or 670 points to end at 2030 and Alakasa Industrindo Tbk (JK:ALKA) was down 23.61% or 68 points to 220.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 164 to 138 and 93 ended unchanged.
Shares in Buana Listya Tama Tbk PT (JK:BULL) rose to 52-week highs; rising 34.68% or 43 to 167.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.78% or 0.41 to $52.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.74% or 0.41 to hit $55.88 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.34% or 4.00 to trade at $1166.00 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.28% to 13415.5, while AUD/IDR rose 0.27% to 9752.00.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.23% at 103.00.
