Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Miscellaneous Industry, Manufacturing and Consumer Industry sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index added 0.15% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Asuransi Jasa Tania Tbk (JK:ASJT), which rose 24.76% or 52.00 points to trade at 262.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Centex Tbk Prf (JK:CNTX_p) added 22.22% or 180.00 points to end at 990.00 and Island Concepts Indonesia Tbk (JK:ICON) was up 18.84% or 52 points to 328 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ictsi Jasa Prima Tbk (JK:KARW), which fell 10.00% or 28 points to trade at 252 at the close. Bintang Mitra Semestaraya Tbk (JK:BMSR) declined 10.00% or 11.00 points to end at 99.00 and Bumi Teknokultura Unggul Tbk (JK:BTEK) was down 9.91% or 105 points to 955.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 165 to 128 and 101 ended unchanged.
Shares in Asuransi Jasa Tania Tbk (JK:ASJT) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 24.76% or 52.00 to 262.00.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.70% or 0.34 to $48.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.59% or 0.30 to hit $50.59 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.15% or 1.95 to trade at $1310.75 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.16% to 13002.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.54% to 10021.15.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.54% at 96.17.
