Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Gas & Water, General Financial and Foods & Drugs sectors led shares higher while losses in the Financials, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.55%, while the SBF 120 index lost 1.50%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which rose 3.15% or 0.73 points to trade at 23.91 at the close. Meanwhile, Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR) added 1.51% or 2.36 points to end at 159.10 and LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:LVMH) was up 1.41% or 10.20 points to 734.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP), which fell 4.38% or 8.90 points to trade at 194.30 at the close. Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN) declined 2.89% or 1.25 points to end at 42.00 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) was down 1.31% or 0.50 points to 37.54.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA) which rose 18.16% to 10.80, Derichebourg (EPA:DBG) which was up 6.21% to settle at 5.20 and Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) which gained 5.57% to close at 12.42.
The worst performers were Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP) which was down 4.38% to 194.30 in late trade, Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN) which lost 2.89% to settle at 42.00 and Clariane SE (EPA:CLARI) which was down 2.54% to 3.46 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 289 to 214 and 88 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.03% or 0.80 to $2,363.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.29% or 1.02 to hit $78.21 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.16% or 0.97 to trade at $82.46 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.35% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 104.64.
