Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher while losses in the Consumer Services, Consumer Goods and Electronic Equipment sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 1.11%, while the SBF 120 index climbed 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which rose 2.38% or 2.12 points to trade at 91.22 at the close. Meanwhile, Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP) added 1.10% or 2.30 points to end at 211.40 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) was up 1.00% or 0.40 points to 40.24 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI), which fell 4.75% or 2.92 points to trade at 58.50 at the close. Veolia Environnement VE SA (EPA:VIE) declined 3.48% or 1.05 points to end at 29.16 and Bouygues SA (EPA:BOUY) was down 2.68% or 1.01 points to 36.66.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Gaztransport et Technigaz SA (EPA:GTT) which rose 2.90% to 141.70, Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) which was up 2.38% to settle at 91.22 and Argan (EPA:ARGAN) which gained 2.37% to close at 82.20.
The worst performers were Elior Group (EPA:ELIOR) which was down 7.61% to 2.43 in late trade, Solutions 30 SE (EPA:S30) which lost 6.69% to settle at 1.87 and Verallia (EPA:VRLA) which was down 4.97% to 33.64 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 337 to 179 and 91 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.70% or 39.35 to $2,347.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.90% or 0.78 to hit $87.37 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 1.05% or 0.95 to trade at $91.60 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 104.00.
