Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Materials, Consumer Goods & Services and Telecoms Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC added 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO), which rose 2.52% or 0.410 points to trade at 16.650 at the close. Meanwhile, Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) added 1.94% or 0.700 points to end at 36.710 and Alpek, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALPEKA) was up 1.64% or 0.290 points to 17.950 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (MX:ASURB), which fell 1.28% or 4.57 points to trade at 353.41 at the close. Coca Cola Femsa SAB De CV (MX:KOFL) declined 1.26% or 1.76 points to end at 138.26 and Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA) was down 1.16% or 0.290 points to 24.650.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 131 to 109 and 11 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.51% or 6.69 to $1303.91 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.58% or 0.79 to hit $50.69 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.90% or 1.05 to trade at $56.19 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.15% to 17.7713, while EUR/MXN fell 0.96% to 21.1445.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.64% at 92.21.
