Investing.com – U.S. share prices edged higher in early trade as oil futures turned higher.
The DJI was up 0.21% at 10:30 ET, while the S&P 500 added 0.17% to just off a new intraday high of 2,186.90.
The tech-heavy Nasdaq composite put on 0.36%,
Brent crude was above $45 a barrel ahead of API stockpile data as earlier profit-taking ran its course.
U.S Q2 nonfarm productivity unexpectedly fell by 0.5% vs. forecast increase of 0.4%.
Walt Disney was slightly higher ahead of the release of Q3 earnings after the market closes.
