Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Metal Products & Machinery and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 3.42% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Soda Sanayi AS (IS:SODA), which rose 7.05% or 0.450 points to trade at 6.830 at the close. Meanwhile, Cemtas Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CEMTS) added 5.52% or 0.400 points to end at 7.650 and Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR) was up 3.28% or 0.040 points to 1.260 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO), which fell 10.92% or 7.05 points to trade at 57.50 at the close. Turkiye Sinai Kalkinma Bankasi AS (IS:TSKB) declined 7.79% or 0.060 points to end at 0.710 and Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO) was down 7.04% or 0.190 points to 2.510.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 293 to 82 and 32 ended unchanged.
Shares in Cemtas Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CEMTS) rose to all time highs; rising 5.52% or 0.400 to 7.650. Shares in Turkiye Sinai Kalkinma Bankasi AS (IS:TSKB) fell to 5-year lows; falling 7.79% or 0.060 to 0.710. Shares in Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO) fell to 52-week lows; down 7.04% or 0.190 to 2.510.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.85% or 10.50 to $1239.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.50% or 0.34 to hit $67.67 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.72% or 0.55 to trade at $77.44 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.71% to 5.5983, while EUR/TRY fell 0.51% to 6.3806.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 96.18.
