Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Holdings & Investments sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 2.32%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Borusan Yatirim ve Pazarlama AS (IS:BRYAT), which rose 3.68% or 69.00 points to trade at 1,942.00 at the close. Meanwhile, MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK) added 2.65% or 8.25 points to end at 319.00 and Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK) was up 2.65% or 3.80 points to 147.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Akbank TAS (IS:AKBNK), which fell 5.82% or 3.10 points to trade at 50.15 at the close. Haci Omer Sabanci Holding AS (IS:SAHOL) declined 5.49% or 4.80 points to end at 82.70 and Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi AS (IS:YKBNK) was down 5.43% or 1.44 points to 25.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 432 to 134 and 11 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.96% or 25.90 to $2,733.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.53% or 1.79 to hit $68.88 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.38% or 1.77 to trade at $72.68 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.32% to 34.23, while EUR/TRY rose 0.28% to 37.18.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 103.35.
