Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Transport and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 2.08%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Anadolu Cam Sanayi AS (IS:ANACM), which rose 3.58% or 0.110 points to trade at 3.180 at the close. Meanwhile, Soda Sanayi AS (IS:SODA) added 2.96% or 0.210 points to end at 7.300 and Vakif Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:VKGYO) was up 2.38% or 0.040 points to 1.720 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS (IS:TUPRS), which fell 8.65% or 11.90 points to trade at 125.60 at the close. Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) declined 7.06% or 0.940 points to end at 12.380 and Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) was down 6.45% or 0.020 points to 0.290.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 289 to 79 and 38 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) fell to 52-week lows; falling 6.45% or 0.020 to 0.290.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.08% or 1.00 to $1225.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.83% or 0.51 to hit $61.16 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.64% or 0.46 to trade at $71.61 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.80% to 5.4588, while EUR/TRY rose 1.94% to 6.2498.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 96.05.
