Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Insurance, Food & Beverages and Non-Metal Mineral Products sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.99% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Papilon Savunma Guvenlik Sistemleri (IS:PAPIL), which rose 5.75% or 4.10 points to trade at 75.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) added 2.95% or 1.85 points to end at 64.60 and Turk Traktor ve Ziraat Makineleri AS (IS:TTRAK) was up 2.19% or 15.00 points to 700.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF), which fell 6.50% or 12.00 points to trade at 172.50 at the close. Adel Kalemcilik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:ADEL) declined 5.92% or 2.18 points to end at 34.66 and Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:HEKTS) was down 5.41% or 0.21 points to 3.67.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 495 to 71 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.95% or 1.85 to 64.60. Shares in Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:HEKTS) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.41% or 0.21 to 3.67.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.44% or 11.70 to $2,664.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.47% or 1.87 to hit $73.69 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.34% or 1.85 to trade at $77.19 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.07% to 34.27, while EUR/TRY fell 0.23% to 37.40.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 102.97.
