Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Technology and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.84%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN), which rose 9.98% or 5.25 points to trade at 57.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Europower Enerji ve Otomasyon Teknolojileri Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:EUPWR) added 3.34% or 0.92 points to end at 28.44 and Girisim Elektrik Taahhut Ticaret & Sanayi AS (IS:GESAN) was up 3.01% or 1.18 points to 40.32 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK), which fell 5.91% or 19.00 points to trade at 302.25 at the close. Enerjisa Enerji AS (IS:ENJSA) declined 5.57% or 3.20 points to end at 54.30 and Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN) was down 5.32% or 1.24 points to 22.06.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 353 to 198 and 28 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.47% or 12.40 to $2,638.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.06% or 1.51 to hit $74.75 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 2.13% or 1.63 to trade at $78.21 a barrel.
USD/TRY was unchanged 0.00% to 34.21, while EUR/TRY fell 0.20% to 37.37.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 102.74.
