Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Wood, Paper & Printing, Holdings & Investments and Basic Metals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.79%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Anadolu Anonim Turk Sigorta Sti (IS:ANSGR), which rose 2.07% or 2.20 points to trade at 108.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Cvk Maden Isletmeleri Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CVKMD) added 1.88% or 6.25 points to end at 338.25 and Cimsa Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CIMSA) was up 1.50% or 0.70 points to 47.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mavi Giyim Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAVI), which fell 6.23% or 4.95 points to trade at 74.55 at the close. Batisoke Soke Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS:BSOKE) declined 5.79% or 0.64 points to end at 10.41 and Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN) was down 5.44% or 6.80 points to 118.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 481 to 94 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Batisoke Soke Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS:BSOKE) fell to 52-week lows; falling 5.79% or 0.64 to 10.41.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 1.02% or 27.74 to $2,687.26 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.61% or 1.22 to hit $76.97 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 1.48% or 1.18 to trade at $80.94 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.28% to 35.49, while EUR/TRY fell 0.10% to 36.21.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 109.88.
