Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Telecoms and Basic Metals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.67%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV), which rose 6.33% or 2.96 points to trade at 49.74 at the close. Meanwhile, Astor Enerji AS (IS:ASTOR) added 4.25% or 3.35 points to end at 82.15 and Kayseri Seker Fabrikasi AS (IS:KAYSE) was up 3.49% or 0.82 points to 24.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN), which fell 7.24% or 35.50 points to trade at 454.50 at the close. Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:HEKTS) declined 4.33% or 0.53 points to end at 11.71 and Teknosa Ic ve Dis Ticaret AS (IS:TKNSA) was down 4.05% or 1.14 points to 27.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 399 to 163 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.01% or 0.20 to $2,542.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.89% or 1.31 to hit $67.84 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.80% or 1.31 to trade at $71.38 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.33% to 34.03, while EUR/TRY rose 0.05% to 37.74.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 101.08.
