Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Industrials and Holdings & Investments sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.57%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Goltas Goller Bolgesi Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:GOLTS), which rose 9.17% or 3.40 points to trade at 40.48 at the close. Meanwhile, Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR) added 5.79% or 0.070 points to end at 1.280 and Turk Traktor ve Ziraat Makineleri AS (IS:TTRAK) was up 4.80% or 1.78 points to 38.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD), which fell 5.79% or 0.140 points to trade at 2.280 at the close. Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari TAS (IS:EREGL) declined 5.11% or 0.400 points to end at 7.430 and Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) was down 3.79% or 0.78 points to 19.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 232 to 127 and 46 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.09% or 1.10 to $1251.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.75% or 0.92 to hit $51.69 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 1.01% or 0.62 to trade at $61.05 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.76% to 5.3430, while EUR/TRY rose 0.61% to 6.0754.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.67% at 97.127.
