Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Basic Metals and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.55%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI), which rose 5.53% or 3.15 points to trade at 60.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF) added 5.30% or 0.17 points to end at 3.38 and Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) was up 4.03% or 0.100 points to 2.580 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT), which fell 5.96% or 0.390 points to trade at 6.150 at the close. Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA) declined 5.14% or 1.62 points to end at 29.92 and Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) was down 5.08% or 0.090 points to 1.680.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 263 to 97 and 47 ended unchanged.
Shares in Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) rose to all time highs; rising 5.53% or 3.15 to 60.15.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.42% or 5.10 to $1232.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.72% or 0.50 to hit $69.25 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.59% or 0.47 to trade at $79.58 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.23% to 5.6545, while EUR/TRY rose 1.33% to 6.5111.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 95.44.
