Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Sports, Basic Metals and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.39% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:REEDR), which rose 9.96% or 3.66 points to trade at 40.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) added 5.48% or 2.67 points to end at 51.35 and Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) was up 4.67% or 1.70 points to 38.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS:OTKAR), which fell 5.66% or 34.00 points to trade at 567.00 at the close. Vestel Beyaz Esya Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESBE) declined 5.31% or 1.16 points to end at 20.70 and TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) was down 5.26% or 13.00 points to 234.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 440 to 115 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.11% or 2.65 to $2,322.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 2.09% or 1.58 to hit $77.11 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.85% or 1.47 to trade at $81.09 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.46% to 32.39, while EUR/TRY fell 0.30% to 34.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.00% at 104.86.
