Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Transport and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.37%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF), which rose 5.32% or 0.16 points to trade at 3.17 at the close. Meanwhile, Sok Marketler (IS:SOKM) added 3.31% or 0.33 points to end at 10.31 and Parsan Makina Parcalari Sanayi AS (IS:PARSN) was up 2.78% or 0.400 points to 14.800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Flap Kongre Toplanti Hizmetleri Otomotiv ve Turizm AS (IS:FLAP), which fell 5.48% or 0.160 points to trade at 2.760 at the close. Gersan Elektrik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:GEREL) declined 4.66% or 0.110 points to end at 2.250 and Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) was down 4.26% or 0.020 points to 0.450.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 214 to 128 and 66 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.36% or 5.15 to $1418.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.47% or 0.26 to hit $56.14 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.46% or 0.29 to trade at $63.47 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.25% to 5.6904, while EUR/TRY fell 0.11% to 6.3476.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.00% at 97.453.
