Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.18%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME), which rose 8.37% or 0.340 points to trade at 4.400 at the close. Meanwhile, ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) added 6.02% or 0.330 points to end at 5.810 and Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) was up 5.00% or 0.810 points to 17.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which fell 6.87% or 1.580 points to trade at 21.420 at the close. SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) declined 4.63% or 0.350 points to end at 7.210 and Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) was down 4.30% or 1.48 points to 32.92.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 248 to 119 and 37 ended unchanged.
Shares in ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) rose to all time highs; up 6.02% or 0.330 to 5.810. Shares in Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) rose to all time highs; rising 5.00% or 0.810 to 17.000.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.17% or 2.26 to $1352.56 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.75% or 0.86 to hit $48.23 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.48% or 0.26 to trade at $54.23 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.22% to 3.4108, while EUR/TRY rose 0.31% to 4.1075.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 91.26.
